What To Expect During

Before treatment, you should avoid any activities that involve direct sunlight, chemical peels, ibuprofen, and tanning beds. Your Parfaire practitioner will review this list with you.
During treatment, your skin will be cleaned and gel will be applied to numb the area where the light energy will be administered. A specialized IPL tool is used that sends pulses of light into your skin. Most patients report there is no discomfort during the process.
Treatment typically takes up to 30 minutes. Many patients receive anywhere from 3 to 6 sessions of laser treatments over the course of 3 to 6 months, depending on their needs.
You should begin to notice the benefits of treatment a few days after your first session.
What are the Side Effects?
A common side effect includes a slight tingling sensation in the areas that were treated – this is temporary and resolves within a few days. Additional temporary side effects can include redness, swelling, bruising, discomfort, peeling, and in very rare cases, scarring.
